      ABOUT US

The Oregon City Swim Team was founded in 1965 by dedicated parents interested in an organized swimming program for their families. The team has evolved from a recreational club to a competitive swim team, becoming incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1982. The team is known for its commitment to participate and excel in  state, regional and national competitions. This has been made possible only by the continuous dedication of both parents and swimmers throughout the years.

TEAM PHILOSOPHY

The Oregon City Swim Team's philosophy is more than just diving into the pool and swimming laps in preparation for competition. Our professional coaching staff is interested in helping develop successful people as well as successful swimmers. In order to achieve our goals, both as a team and on individual levels, the following objectives have been set forth:

bullet

To promote the philosophies of Teamwork, Pride & Excellence through training and competition at all ability levels.

bullet

For young swimmers learning the fundamentals of stroke technique and developing a love for the sport are the most important goals.

bullet

To develop a family oriented program with community involvement and support.

bullet

To provide an environment for self-improvement and goal achievement through hard work, dedication, self-discipline and perseverance.

bullet

To participate in local, regional, state and national swimming events!

bullet

To have "FUN" experiences...Fun that comes from building friendships, learning to challenge themselves, seeing improvements and feeling success.
