We believe that a successful program must have a sound financial base.
The team is financed with monthly dues, fundraising, swim meets and a
swim-a-thon. It is each member's responsibility to pay the monthly dues
promptly and participate in fundraising events. These monies are used
to pay for professional coaching, travel expenses, equipment, pool rent
and other expenses incurred in providing a successful program.
INITIAL FEES A first time registration fee of $25.00 is due when all paperwork is turned in and before the swimmer is allowed to participate. $25.00 covers cap and T-shirt and is non-refundable. A re-registration fee of $10.00 will be accessed to any member that leaves the team for any period longer then 30 days. An Entry Fee Escrow Account of $50.00 is setup and is used for meet fees payments. ANNUAL FEES USA Swimming Membership is an annual fee that is paid by new members when they join. Returning members need to pay in September of each year. The membership costs $56.00 and includes liability and secondary accidental medical protection and allows for participation in all USA Swimming sanctioned and approved competitions. MONTHLY BILLS Bills are sent out monthly. The monthly bill consists of monthly dues, financial obligation, meet entry fees and any other fees from equipment or apparel purchases. If you have a concern or question about your bill your need to file a bill reconciliation form. Once completed turn the bill into the swim team safe. The board will process your form and address your concerns in a timely manner. Bill reconciliation forms are available under forms or may be picked up on the pool deck in the OCST form file. | MONTHLY DUES Monthly dues are based on the amount of practice time offered and commitment level of each group. Those families with more than one swimmer (except Pre-comp) are eligible for discounts off Monthly Dues. The highest level swimmer pays full dues. The second swimmer gets a $10.00 deduction each month and the third swimmer gets a 75% off the remaining balance of dues of the least expensive training group.
VOLUNTEER HOURS OCST is a non-profit organization that depends on volunteers for operation. Without the help of volunteers, it would be impossible to meet the administrative duties of the team. For that reason, OCST families are expected to volunteer 12 hours of time annually. These hours can be earned by helping out the team in a variety of ways. Here are just a few ideas:
