Coach Ben

With 13 years of competitive swimming experience as an athlete and as a coach, Ben Talbott mixes a passion for the water with a passion to excel. He started swimming competitively with David Douglas Swim Club at a later age than normal, 12, but it was clear he was a natural as he quickly moved his way up to the senior squad. He began his coaching career right out of high school and has been coaching ever since. Over the past seven years he's coached for David Douglas Masters, Eastside Water Polo Club, Gresham High School Swimming and Water Polo, and Oregon City Water Polo.

His coaching philosophy revolves around the concept that athletics, especially swimming, should be as much about fun as it is about valuable life experiences.
